Record Break 615 FOGSIANS Had Attended Online

We are deeply grateful to everyone who made our online academic programme such an overwhelming success, with a record breaking 615 FOGSIANS attending live. Held under the aegis of the Surat Obstetric and Gynaecological Society, in association with the Valsad Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society, this webinar was a proud moment for both societies and for the wider gynaecological community of the region.

To see so many colleagues join from their homes and clinics, all at the same time, was genuinely moving. It is a powerful reminder that the appetite for learning among our fraternity is stronger than ever, and that when a programme addresses the questions clinicians truly grapple with, they will come in large numbers to take part.

The programme focused on recurrent pregnancy loss, one of the most emotionally and clinically challenging areas in our field. For couples who experience repeated miscarriage, the journey is often heartbreaking, and the questions are difficult, why it happens, what can be investigated, and what can genuinely help. The sessions examined the evidence with honesty and care, including the place of low molecular weight heparin in the management of recurrent pregnancy loss, a topic where clear, evidence based guidance is especially valued. We were fortunate to have an eminent faculty guide the discussion and share their expertise.

What made the webinar so rewarding was not only the quality of the talks but the engagement that followed. The questions from participants were thoughtful and rooted in real patient scenarios, and the discussion reflected the collective wisdom of hundreds of practising clinicians. That is the true value of a large online gathering, the chance to learn not only from the speakers but from the shared experience of the whole community.

The online format, which so many of us adopted out of necessity, has proved to be a lasting gift to medical education. It removes the barriers of distance and travel, and it allows a busy clinician in a small town to access the same knowledge as a colleague in a major city. A record attendance like this shows just how much reach and impact a well organised virtual programme can have.

At Paaranu Women’s Superspecialities, we believe that strengthening the knowledge of the whole medical community is one of the most effective ways to improve outcomes for patients everywhere. When hundreds of clinicians sharpen their approach to a difficult condition like recurrent pregnancy loss, the benefit reaches countless families who will never know that such a gathering took place.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to all my friends and colleagues for their overwhelming response, to the distinguished faculty who gave their time and expertise, and to the Surat and Valsad Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies for their partnership in making this possible. A record of 615 attendees is not just a number, it is a reflection of a community committed to learning and to caring. We look forward to organising many more such programmes in the future.
